In-folio (30,5 x 19,5 cm), [22], 562 ff, title printed in red and black, with a woodcut depicting Luther and Frederick III of Saxony (1463-1525) kneeling before Christ on the cross. German text printed in gothic script. Some beautiful woodcut initials. Age-toned, some leaves browned more heavily. Some small wormholes at the beginning and at the end. Contemporary pigskin binding, with blindtooling, over wooden boards, bronze corner pieces and two clasps. Date 1568 on front cover, also the letters LRO, some stains on back cover.
