First edition of the commentary on the Book of Leviticus, which contains the doctrine of priests and their duties. The biblical commentaries of the holy priest Hesychius of Jerusalem (d. c.
450) are still highly valued today, especially by the Orthodox Church; he is considered the most important exegete and teacher of the Bible of his time in the Church of Jerusalem and Palestine.
