Justini ex Trogi Pompei historiis externis, libri XLIIII.
Cologne
Birckmann, Arnold d.Ä. (Erben)
1582
€180 - €240

"8vo, [32] + 304 pp, old stamp on title page. Title vignette made illegible with red pencil. Some foxing. The original text of the ""Philippic Histories"" has been lost and is preserved only in excerpts by other authors and in a loose epitome by the later historian Justin. Justin aimed only to preserve the parts he felt most important or interesting about Pompeius Trogus's work. Vellum binding with the letters Z*H*D*H and dated 1593"

Ref. VD16 T 2065 ; NNBW p. 1340-1341 ; not in Adams"
