Single leaf, 196 x 124 mm, with single column of 24 lines in an excellent and precise late gothic bookhand, ornamental cadels in upper and outer margins, one- and 2-line initials in liquid gold with foliage in same picked out on blue, burgundy or dark brown grounds, line-fillers in same, each page with a decorated border of acanthus leaves and sprays of foliage and fruit on blank vellum and dull gold grounds, these with a drollery at their midpoints (both winged quadrupeds with bird beaks and long twisting tails, standing on large woody branches), very slight cockling in places, a few small spots and stains, else excellent condition
