Contains 8 maps of Europe, 18 maps of Asia, 14 maps of Africa, 7 maps of North America and 8 maps of South America. Complete list: see photo. The text is translated from French (Description de tout l'univers) into Dutch by De Vries, but the maps are still in French. Lacking: general map of Europe, Great Brittain, Spain, Barca, Ethiopia, Cap verde and Canary Islands. Lacking also text pages 521-528 (in the part of Africa). bookseller Begyn in Ghent. The last page mentions: Ce livre appartient à moi Pierre vander Geynst à Nukerke hameau ter Hole 1825. (Margaret of Parma was the illegimate daughter of Emperor Charles V and Johanna van der Gheynst, of Nukerke). Complete copies are excessively scarce. Only 3 copies in STCN.
