Single vast leaf, with text in double column of 53 lines of a small and precise Romanesque hand, written below topline and with a pronounced ct- and st-ligature, initials in larger version of same, recovered from reuse in a sixteenth-century account book binding (with scrawls dated to 1544 on reverse), other scribbles and then later antiquarian notes and underlining, scuffs, tears to edges (one with early repair), small holes, one large horizontal fold across middle, some washed out areas, but entirely legible, overall fair condition, 385 by 297mm

From an exceptionally large and handsome Romanesque codex
