In 1606, Gottfried Jungermann published a Greek translation he had come across of the ""De bello gallico"". It was later reprinted in this edition and in the famous 1706 and 1727 Cambridge editions of Caesar's works. It was a way for students to learn Greek from the easy Latin text they already knew.
