Scarce edition. Among the most influential Greek rhetoricians of his time, Isocrates (436-338 BC) made many contributions to rhetoric. The work contains a.o. a collection of the orations directed to the rulers of Salamis on Cyprus, in which he advises rulers on how to rule best. Isocrates had a great influence on Cicero.
