private collection, Belgium. "In the early 1980s, she asked artist David Wojnarowicz to photograph her in various poses, some of which were based on songs that she had written. Almost ten years later, Smith incorporated many of these photographs into the collage, Puppet. This composite also includes a photograph of the artist?s niece and etchings based on reproductions in a Dutch magazine article about nudist camps
