Clement Marot (ca.1496-1544) was a French poet. Both heir to the authors of the late 15th century and precursor of the Pleiade, he was without a doubt the most important poet of the court of Francois I. This work includes the author's poems, merged and classified by genre, as well as the translations of Virgil, the Metamorphoses of Ovid, the sonnets of Petrarch, the Psalms of David, etc. Rare copy.
