Very rare first edition of the 16th-c. local legislation of Ghent. Issued on 23 Dec. 1563 and printed at the city's expense. Title within ornamental woodcut border with coats-of-arms of Spain, Flanders and Burgundy. A few lines in civilité (p. 222). Ms. ownership entry. Ex-libris H. de Schryver.
