Ref. Adams D-629 ; VD16 D 1970. Edited by Henricus Glareanus, authorative translation from Greek to Latin by Lampo (or Lampugnino) Birago (died 1472). Glareanus (1488-1563) was a lifelong friend of Erasmus. Dionysius' was born c. 60 BC and died after 7 BC. His major work, entitled 'Roman Antiquities', embraced the history of Rome from the mythical period to the beginning of the First Punic War
