Ammianus Marcellinus (c. 330-400 AD) was a Roman historian of Greek origin. Regarded as the last major historian of the Roman Empire, he chronicled events from 353 to 378 AD. Several ownership notes and inscriptions in brown ink on the front flyleaf and end flyleaf. On the title page an ownership note: Ex Libris Biblio D.D. Caroli De Pradel Epipi Monspe.
