Dagboek start in 1917 wanneer de zusters door de Duitsers verplicht worden te verhuizen naar Merxplas waar ze verblijven tot 31 mei 1918. Daarna gaan ze naar Lovenjoul en op 29 april 1919 terug naar Brugge. De auteur was vrijwillige verpleegster (1890-1979) en dochter van Ridder Maurice van de Walle en Valentine Visart de Bocarmé. Bijgevoegd: haar doodsprentje + boek van M. De Duytsche 'De Zusters van Liefde van Jezus en Maria en de Minnewaterkliniek te Brugge' uit 1986.
