"Ammianus Marcellinus, Roman historian of Greek descent (ca. 330 - after 392), he served as an officer in the army of the emperors Constantius II and Julian. In this scarce edition we read biographies of emperors. The Huguenot printer François le Preux worked with his elder brother Jean le Preux, both were exiled in Genève and Lausanne. Between 1589 and 1600 however, François le Preux also published books with the Lyon-address. Ref. Adams A-974 ; not in Baudrier"
