"Rare 'nineth edition' of this popular practical manual for horse medicine Van Cour, a farrier from The Hague. The first of a least 12 editions is from 1688. As it was apparently heavily used by horse physicians and farriers 'on the spot', very few copies have survived. Ref.: Bib. Hippologica nr. 240 (ed. 1772 not in this work); 2 compl. copies in STCN"
