Largely a translation of the Grande Chronique of Jean Francois Le Petit, and with illustrations that originally appeared in this work, many of them signed by Christoffel von Sichem, the continuation of the history is derived from Historia Belgica nostri potissiumum temporis by Emmanuel van Meteren.
