Very rare Latin version of a sermon on the Lord's Passion by the French theologian Jean Charlier de Gerson (1363-1429) edited by Jakob Otter (1485-1547). Gerson was one of the most eminent orators of his time. He was one of the first to recognize and proclaim the supernatural vocation of Joan of Arc. He laboured diligently to promote devotion to the Blessed Virgin (ref. Catholic Encyclopedia)
