ROTTERDAM PRIZE BINDING with large gilt arms on covers (Spoelder 'Rotterdam 1') and with the prize awarded 17 April 1703 to Matthaeus van Stolk (!), and signed by the curators of the Schola Erasmiana (incl. rector Joh. Silvius). Contemporary gold-tooled vellum, covers with large gilt arms and a ruled border with corner pieces, gilt flat spine titled in ink, remains of ties. Beautiful well-preserved copy
