(engraved titlepage) n.p., 335 pp. Contemporary gold-stamped leather with raised bands, GOLDEN CLASPS, all edges gilt, marbled end lvs, (Corner-tips and exteriors of the spine skillfully restored, bottom corner of Fol. 2C3 repaired and browned. Illustrated with an engraved titlepage for both the Old and New Testament and the Psalms. Bound in a richly decorated brown-leather binding, elegantly gold-stamped with a pattern of flowers and vines and equipped with two 22 carat gold clasps. The clasps are decorated with a central ornament depicting a classic bust of a man and woman facing each other on all individual parts, framed in an oval shape surrounded by laurels and geometrical outlines. The clasps are marked with the year letter of 1793 and are made by Govert Steenbeek, active at Dordrecht from 1771-1800.)
